Launch of "Aspirations For The Elderly In India" Report by IbIn

India Backbone Implementation Network (IbIn) Bengaluru Node launched the National Consultative Report on "Aspirations For The Elderly In India" on 7th May, 2014 in New Delhi. The event was presided over by Mr. Arun Maira, Member, Planning Commission & Dr. Syeda Hameed, Member, Planning Commission.

India@75 will jointly take forward this initiative with the IbIn Bengaluru Node.

Power To Empower 2014

The 3rd Edition of Power To Empower, India's 1st Skills Enterprise Plan Competition commenced on 18th March, 2014 with a Grand Finale & Awards Function in Delhi. Mr. S. Ramadorai, Chairman, National Skills Development Corporation graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest.

This year Power To Empower got 1004 applications, with 280 applications in the Operations Category & 724 applications in the Idea Category. P2E 2014 was jointly organized by India@75 and National Skill Development Corporation, and supported by Managing Partners Ennovent and TiE Delhi NCR.

Career Counselling & Jobs Fair

India@75 in collaboration with CII Northern Region and Uttar Pradesh State Government (UP Skills Development Mission) organized a “Career Counseling & Job Fair” on 22nd and 23rd January 2014 at Gautam Buddh University, Noida, Uttar Pradesh with the primary purpose of encouraging interaction between the industry and the students.

4500+ students participated in the counseling sessions and interactions with various employers. Hero MotoCorp, Jakson Group, Shriram Piston & Rings, Aegis Global, SMC Pneumatics, Dominos, UFlex Industries participated as recruiters.

India@75 Celebrates Volunteerism Through National Volunteering Week 2014

India@75 celebrated the quintessential act of volunteerism from the 12th to 18th January 2014 as India’s First National Volunteering Week. This path breaking effort began across the country by engaging people from all walks of life.

A team of 122 leaders worked tirelessly, giving their pro-bono time for months and weeks to make the National Volunteering Week a reality. Through the campaign India@75 was able to reach out to 116.5 million people & 15773 hours of volunteering was done all across the country.

India@75 – The People’s Agenda

In 2008-09, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in collaboration with the Boston Consultancy Group (BCG) undertook a pan India visioning exercise to validate the vision of Late Prof CK Prahalad. The exercise covered complete spectrum of society including students, housewives, slum dwellers, farmers, bureaucrats, academia and politicians amongst others; over 1000 interviews, 125 workshops with over 10,000 participants including 6 Chief Ministers were conducted to evolve the vision document "India@75 - The People's Agenda".
